Dry

from The Chrysalis by Lunarin

/

lyrics

I’ve fallen down to where you lay
And every breath you took was mine
I surrendered all I owned
For just a smile

Broken pieces promises lay
Beneath your crown of thorns
We’re undecided at the cross roads of a storm

In faith
In blood
We summoned dust to gold

In faith
In blood
We caught the undertow

I am dissolving to water
In tears
We wait
Patiently
For it to dry

You lost yourself in your own reflection
I lost you to my own reflection

In faith
In blood
We summoned dust to gold

In faith
In blood
We caught the undertow

I am dissolving to water
In tears
We wait patiently
For it to dry

You said
It was a lie
My eyes
Suddenly dried
And all these intentions can kill us
Memories die
And our words can consume us
You said it’s a lie
You said it’s a lie
And you said that you’d
Fight these illusions

Our reflection emerges as we dry

I would
I could
If you would
And you should
I would
I could
Tear a hole
And look through me

In your own reflection
Finding me
